What are we all about?

Our story

Franmar started in 1973, when Fran Martinelli, a new mother, was looking to find a way to balance work and family life. That year, she bought a passenger van, drove it herself, (with toddler in tow), on her only school route. One year later, Fran owned four school buses, employed four drivers, had six school routes, and contracts with two government entities. Today, her fleet has grown to 55 air-conditioned buses, transporting over 3,000 students.

Franmar has had an unwavering commitment to providing safe and reliable student transportation. In recent years, the technology, equipment, and resources have changed, but the core of our business remains the same.

Because of Franmar Bus’ reliability, professionalism, accountability and safety record, we are the most trusted provider of transportation for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties.
